Besides providing clean fresh air for your home, they can also filter harmful particulates keeping you safe from allergens and bacteria. Home air filters protect your HVAC system, but can be harmful if you don’t change them regularly. Lastly, you can save money on energy bills when you replace your home air filter. Your HVAC doesn’t have to work as hard to push air through a clean filter.
That’s what comes to mind for most people when you mention a filter in a house.  One of the first things you should do when taking possession of a house is to change the furnace filter.   Think about it – it’s got other people’s dust and dander on it.   Start fresh.   Write down  the size and note which way it’s installed.  With some filters it matters which direction the air is flowing, so don’t get it backwards.  Check your furnace manual to be sure what you should have.    Most large hardware/home stores carry the standard sizes.   Replace it at the start of each heating season, at least.   If you have central air conditioning, this filter will be catching stuff year round. Check it monthly and change it if it looks dirty.

High airflow helps reduce strain on your heating and cooling system and requires less energy, which can translate to savings for you! When a filter becomes extremely clogged, airflow through the filter begins to slow, which can force an HVAC system to work harder to compensate. Replacing a disposable filter every 60-90 days can be inconvenient and expensive—instead, you can simply rinse clean your K&N lifetime washable furnace filter to help keep your HVAC system running smoothly.
8p this past saturday this dude in his mid 20s came to my door selling something similar. he led on that he represented (was subbed for) the utility company. he kept insisting that he needed to see my water shutoff valve and he had something that would save me a lot of money (more money than i actually pay in water consumption!). i kept letting him talk just to shoot down his bullshit circle talking, it was more amusing for me to troll his nonsense and keep him in the cold while wasting both our times. definitely didn't let him in. interesting how others also agree this was bullshit, yet sad to know others fall for this.

Despite anything, management tells you. By accepting this job you have decided you are a door to door salesman. Did not start this way, new management in the last few years has run this company reputation into the ground. No more company appointments, they expect you to sell all your family and then become a door to door salesman. 100% commission, job that requires you to work 6 days a week. Just a matter of time... for the lawsuit. Same goes for Chatsworth and Anaheim offices. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. You will burn through your savings.
For those on private well water, like my family, the situation can be even more problematic. Wells are often the source of water contaminated with modern agricultural products including fertilizers, glyphosate-based herbicides like Roundup and pesticides. It can also contain high levels of bacteria such as E-coli, can have excess calcium and magnesium contributing to hard water, rust that discolors laundry and bathrooms, and be very toxic with heavy metals such as arsenic, mercury and more.

I found that Door 2 Door ends up adding on fees until their containers are no longer a good value for their size. I also found that promises made to me by sales associates on the phone were different than their actual procedures and charges. It seems that they promise you convenience and customer service but then when it is time to deliver on those promises, the story changes. I also found that the delivery driver of the truck was pretty rude and dismissive. I would not use them again.
There is absolutely no mention of insurance on the website. I even read the customer documents and saw nothing about it. This doesn't mean there is no insurance option. I just did not get to go through with the reservation process, so it's entirely possible you can purchase insurance with Door to Door. But most competitors at least offer some information about insurance - at the very least whether it's available - on the website, so it does not bode well.
After reviewing the website and Door to Door® Services Offered, I was ready to call customer service and get a quote. Yes, you have to call. Live chats and online quotes do not exist for their moving services, but they are available for storage. I also looked at the areas the company serves beforehand. Although there is only one Door to Door location in New Jersey located in Randolph( which is 50 minutes to an hour by car from my home in Fort Lee), there are locations in New York that are much closer.
Similar to fiberglass filters, disposable pleated polyester filters have a sizable surface field and a rating of 5 to 13. The pleats increase the surface area and make the furnace filters more efficient at capturing airborne particles. A pleated air filter with a medium efficiency rating can filter small to large particles. Filters with a rating of 7 to 13 provide a level of effectiveness compatible with absolute high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters, but at a lower price point.
They were on time, and our stuff was not damaged. This company gave a quote that was 30% off of the final amount. They also charged us for locks that were not delivered. The containers are not consistent in build. Some were very close to the end of their service life... probably past that date. They do have an interesting concept. It appears that Trucking companies do this along with their main business of logistics. They are a bit disorganized, probably because this is not their main business. The main contact office (the franchiser) is also a bit difficult to work with, as there isn't consistently among the various part-time customer service reps.
Door to Door, which is based in Seattle, claims to have "revolutionized the self-storage industry" when it opened in 1996 and introduced the world to portable, containerized storage. When reading between the lines of what is written by the company on the website, you might notice that Door to Door feels it set the standard for the portable storage container industry, and it might feel slighted about not getting as much of the glory as some of its competitors do.

Mr. Sinclair's comments are focused on selling filters. Washable electrostatic filters can have much higher MERV ratings than the disposable ones. So you are getting better air filtration for you and your furnace. The water from a washed furnace filter is no more toxic than the water you wash the floor or walls of your house. You flush or pour that down the drain. Anything will grow mold if you put it away damp. Let it dry out first, (Duh!) Over time, the disposables cost more than the washable, plus the cost of disposing and landfill issues. If you want higher filtration, spend less money, have a more environmentally friendly home, use a washable filter, clean it every 4-6 weeks and let it dry before you put it back in place.
