Unfortunately, HEPA filters restrict too much air to be used as a traditional furnace filter. A HEPA filter is extremely efficient, but a significant amount of air pressure is needed to force air through a HEPA filter. A typical HVAC system will not be equipped to provide enough air pressure to use a HEPA filter (which basically means that no air would blow out of your registers). In order to use a HEPA filter for whole house filtration, you need to install a separate HEPA filtration system. A system like this will pull some of the air out of the regular air flow through your furnace, and then boost the air and pass it through a HEPA filter. The extremely filtered air is then returned back into the normal air flow.  Source
Some of my goods were damaged clearly during transportation. Additionally, it was impossible to arrange delivery and pick up times once you picked your day. (This inconvenienced the buyers of my home, as the storage containers sat in front of the house until 5pm despite closing at 10am.) However, I booked them for their convenience and their customer service is great.
Update 04/28/2018: This is actually an old update, but this video wasn't getting much traction at the time, so I didn't feel the need to provide one. The Enbridge Obundsman reached out to me to get more details of the case. After I discussed everything with them, they said they would perform and investigation and get back to me. After about a week, they called me back and said the investigation would be performed internally from here on out. They gave me no details of of what happened or if any changes are being made. I am under the impression that they changed absolutely nothing. I informed them that there are many other cases of the same type of fraud as many other victims have reached out to me in a similar situation. They said due to privacy reasons, they cannot discuss the cases with those customers and everything is dealt with on a case-by-case basis. It makes no sense to me why they would deal with something as serious as fraud on a case-by-case basis. It should be taken a whole and if there are multiple cases of fraud, then the company should be banned billing through Enbridge. Due to Enbridge not taking any action, they are essentially helping this company commit fraud. I hope this video can shine some light on the many victims falling prey to this scam and changes will be made in the future.
Door to Door, which is based in Seattle, claims to have "revolutionized the self-storage industry" when it opened in 1996 and introduced the world to portable, containerized storage. When reading between the lines of what is written by the company on the website, you might notice that Door to Door feels it set the standard for the portable storage container industry, and it might feel slighted about not getting as much of the glory as some of its competitors do.

Great product, great customer service, fast shipping! I have always been a stickler on changing my filter monthly because to me it’s better to spend a few extra dollars along the way then pay a large maintenance bill. I love this service because I no longer have to remember to go to the store to buy the filters and I just replace it when it shows up at my front door!
These filters can trap very small particles of dust, pollen, mold, and other irritants. Some of these filters work much like the air and oil filters in your car. They are made using pleated filter paper. Other filters are made with fine synthetic polyester fibers. Higher efficiency air filters can sometimes be coated with chemicals that can kill tiny microbes such as bacteria and mold. There are several advantages to using these higher efficiency air filters. Not only will your heating and cooling equipment perform better, your operating costs may well be lower. The air you breathe will be cleaner, as will your furniture and drapes. That $60 service call could have bought 10 filters that may have lasted through five cooling seasons!  Source
This is not formally a filter, but its operation will affect your air quality, and it may have a screen or a sponge that can get clogged.   Check the manual to see how it operates.    Many older furnace mounted humidifiers have been neglected or abandoned.   See if yours works; call a heating specialist to service it if you are not sure.   Winters in Toronto can be pretty dry and it is best if you can keep the humidity level in your home between 35 – 50%.
For selfish reasons, I was a bit relieved I did not have to give Door to Door my credit card number. If I failed to cancel the order at least a week before the scheduled drop-off date, I would have been charged. Yikes. If you cancel within that seven-day-prior period, you forfeit your deposit. If you cancel when the driver arrives at the initial location, you give up the deposit and delivery fee. Ouch. In fact, the FAQ on the site suggests you give as much notice as possible if you are canceling. Some competitors, however, allow people to cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.

A mixed media whole house system utilizes a blend of highly effective and well-tested types of water filtration media typically formulated within a single cylindrical tank. It connects directly to the incoming plumbing to affect the entirety of your home’s water. This whole house system is most certainly my favorite! For those also looking for the optimal in kitchen water purification, you would pair the whole house water filter with this biocompatible purification system.

Just an observation, as I've tried to educate myself about home filtration systems, I have found a surprising number of sites that try to appear unbiased, but with a little reading can be seen to be favoring filters over all other system types. It may be that filters are better for certain applications. But the fact that they're being sold as 'all-things-to-all-people' makes me suspicious. The fact that at least a couple of sites (usually .org sites) appear to be hiding their identity also makes me suspicious. It also makes me wonder what so good about the non-filter systems that has the filter folks so worried.
I have been using washable filters for 15 years. They are simply blasted out in my driveway with a hose (opposite of airflow), drained about 10 minutes and put back in the furnace. The furnace dries the filter out in minutes, so bacteria is never a concern. We wash them once a year, as we only run the furnace for about 3-4 months in the winter and only then about half time (live in California). Not only does it save replacing them, but saves a trip to the store, which is probably the most environmentally part. I recently had the furnace looked at by an installer and he stated we had very little dust buildup since it was last checked 9 years ago. If we need clean air in our house, we open it up for an hour or two - on warm days of course. Simple. Washable filters are cheap and environmentally friendly. Think about what happens to all those disposed of filters you toss!

This water purification system connects directly to your kitchen sink’s cold water pipe in just a few minutes, and it's designed to purify municipal water. It uses a 3-stage filtration process to remove all sorts of contaminants, including chlorine, lead, mercury, chromium, cadmium, herbicides, pesticides, sediment, algae, molds, bad taste, odors, and more. Plus, this water filter can be used for up to five years!
