Besides providing clean fresh air for your home, they can also filter harmful particulates keeping you safe from allergens and bacteria. Home air filters protect your HVAC system, but can be harmful if you don’t change them regularly. Lastly, you can save money on energy bills when you replace your home air filter. Your HVAC doesn’t have to work as hard to push air through a clean filter.

Unfortunately, HEPA filters restrict too much air to be used as a traditional furnace filter. A HEPA filter is extremely efficient, but a significant amount of air pressure is needed to force air through a HEPA filter. A typical HVAC system will not be equipped to provide enough air pressure to use a HEPA filter (which basically means that no air would blow out of your registers). In order to use a HEPA filter for whole house filtration, you need to install a separate HEPA filtration system. A system like this will pull some of the air out of the regular air flow through your furnace, and then boost the air and pass it through a HEPA filter. The extremely filtered air is then returned back into the normal air flow.  Source
UPDATE 2019-04-04 - I deeply apologize for not keeping you guys up to date. I will make an update video shortly and will use this platform to share the stories of others. For the time being, I have created an online petition and would greatly appreciate it if you signed. To this day, I still get calls and messages from people who have been scammed from these organizations. It upsets me that they are still getting away with it. What I want to accomplish from this petition is to stop Enbridge from allowing these fraudulent companies to continue doing billing under them. I would also like the government to extend the cooling-off period to 15 days AFTER the first bill has been received. If we can collect enough signatures, it will strengthen our case against these fraudsters and keep these organizations honest.
On the other hand, college students who had used the moving service reported lots of back and forth because the company said it had "overbooked" and could not deliver their stuff to them on time. In the end, the students ended up paying movers to pick up their stuff and spent more than they had planned, according to a review posted by Hali M. in Stanford, CA.

That’s what comes to mind for most people when you mention a filter in a house.  One of the first things you should do when taking possession of a house is to change the furnace filter.   Think about it – it’s got other people’s dust and dander on it.   Start fresh.   Write down  the size and note which way it’s installed.  With some filters it matters which direction the air is flowing, so don’t get it backwards.  Check your furnace manual to be sure what you should have.    Most large hardware/home stores carry the standard sizes.   Replace it at the start of each heating season, at least.   If you have central air conditioning, this filter will be catching stuff year round. Check it monthly and change it if it looks dirty.
