The filter with more pleats per foot across the face will allow you to have better airflow throughout your home.  The more air that flows through your house, the more often it is passed and re-circulated through the filter. The end result is cleaner air because of the higher frequency of air passes through the filter.  For example, if you could find a way to install a hospital grade operating room filter in your home unit, it wouldn’t do you much good because your fan and motor doesn’t have enough power to push enough air through it.  A good quality filter with a high MERV 11 rating can actually leave you with dirtier air than using a cheap 1 dollar filter if the MERV 11 filter doesn’t have enough pleats per foot.  Less pleats per foot is a cheap and dirty way for filter sellers to trick buyers into thinking they are getting a better deal. Insist on MERV 11 filters that have a minimum of 18 pleats per foot!  Source
What a great idea! The website was easy to navigate, I was even able to take care of everything on my iPhone. The follow up and emails telling me when my shipment was sent all the way through delivery is fantastic. The filter arrived, it was carefully packaged. This is going to make our home so much fresher! With our cats and our allergies, we need to change the filter regularly. But because of having to go to the store, find the correct size, and and all of that, got to admit we haven’t been that regular with it. This is going to make it so much better! Coming into a Texas summer, this is going to make her air-conditioning work that much more efficiently too.

They advertise that they will be compensating a $52,000 Base Salary plus commission after hiring. All of a sudden everyone is excited about their base check every week until they bring you into orientation and tell you that you have to pass a test. After then until you are eligible for the base salary. You have to make five door to door sales and you are dropped off in in the middle of South Phoenix by yourself with... no help. Keep in mind that this is in the Arizona heat and they do not pick you up until 8:00 pm. These people are nothing but scam artists and have you working like dogs. YOU WILL HAVE NO LIFE!!! and the best part is that do not pay you for any training. People please do not waist your time. I have a college education and understand that when an employer tells you that you are going to be compensated a $52,000 salary they do not place stipulations thereafter. They are nothing but crooks.
Some furnaces come equipped with this filter, and there are various configurations.   Find the manual and become familiar with it’s operation. You can pull out the filters and check them, make sure they are clean and in place.   Hire a forced air heating specialist if you are unsure about how to operate / clean it and have them show you how it works.
This company tried scamming my parents out of $16,000+. I’m sure scams like these are very common, and a lot of people are stuck paying money to these scumbags. Please share this video so word gets out and so people are aware that fraudulent companies like this exist. I personally think the government should step in and void any previous contracts made by this company, “Ontario Home Services”. If it happened to us, it’s definitely happened to others.

This personal water filter weighs just 2 ounces, so it's not a burden as you're hiking through the wilderness, and it's incredibly effective, removing 99.9% of bacteria and protozoa from water. Plus, each filter can be used on up to 100,000 gallons of water, and it easily attaches to standard water bottles and drinking pouches. According to reviewers, this is the perfect personal water filter for camping, backpacking, and other adventures, and well worth the low price!
K&N is the home of the original red oiled air filter. In the early 1960s, two motorcycle racers, Ken Johnson and Norm McDonald (K&N), developed a ground-breaking new idea for an oiled air filter. Five decades later, K&N® is still innovating industry-leading filtration technology, and offers outstanding protection for everything from top-fuel dragsters to commuter vehicles across the globe. Thank you for helping us reach 50 years in business!
In my experience the powered electrostatic filters remove nearly everything from the air stream. The navy uses these on submarines to take the pollutants out of the air, in this usage we washed them monthly due to the amount of things they pull from the air. I have had a big Honeywell system on one house I have owned - it was the only house that never had a dust problem. The filter pulled everything from the air. Every 2 or 3 months I would run the cells through the dishwasher then give them a quick look for broken wires. An hour with the blower on and the power off drys them then back on with the power for another 3 months.
Ensuring that your filter fits properly in your HVAC system means making sure that you have not only the right length and width, but also thickness of your filter. Most standard air filters are 1 - 2 inches in thickness. Whereas media filters are typically 3 to 5 inches in thickness. The best way to measure your air filter size is to get out the measuring tape and measure it directly.

In addition, my parents are moving from Fort Lee, NJ to Ridgefield Park, NJ, so I'll write about the company's local move services too. I tried to order the moving containers during busy season for movers (late spring to early summer). I tried to complete the order and later cancel it, but it didn't quite work out with Door to Door. (More on this later) Still, by keeping the particulars of the move roughly the same for each order, I've made it possible for you to easily compare.
I was put in dangerous areas going to door to door and it is not safe. Outside all day long (depends where you live) I live in FL so it was brutal. Work 6 out of 7 days a week. When you get out of your training period you are ordered to "walk" with new recruits, but by doing so when you go and show them how to sell while they are supposed to watch, no talk or do anything, you have to split your entire sale 50%... with the person you are teaching. Commission is a horrible percentage of the total value of what you are selling (only 150$ for a 1,600$ system.) You get 150 working alone and walking with someone you have to split the commission. A promotion is not really a promotion. They promote you as a team leader but you are not allowed to walk and makes sales only assist over the phone to make sales and make less money with more responsibility.
Sponge filters can look large and bulky in your tank. Some air pumps can be pretty noisy, too. Most sponge filters are rated for tanks up to 10 gallons in size, which limits options for larger tanks. But there are solutions out there–multiple sponge filters in a single tank could provide adequate filtration rates. And some sponge filters pair well with certain HOB filters.
Mr. Sinclair's comments are focused on selling filters. Washable electrostatic filters can have much higher MERV ratings than the disposable ones. So you are getting better air filtration for you and your furnace. The water from a washed furnace filter is no more toxic than the water you wash the floor or walls of your house. You flush or pour that down the drain. Anything will grow mold if you put it away damp. Let it dry out first, (Duh!) Over time, the disposables cost more than the washable, plus the cost of disposing and landfill issues. If you want higher filtration, spend less money, have a more environmentally friendly home, use a washable filter, clean it every 4-6 weeks and let it dry before you put it back in place.
“This filter has given us water that is as good or better than the large bottles of spring water we'd been buying,” one tester revealed. In addition to the water quality, reviewers liked that once it was set up, the separate faucet was easy to access, with the filter system fitting nicely underneath the sink. The one negative, according to our reviewers, was the time-consuming installation, but, overall, they thought it was worth the price tag: “We'll have to buy new filters, but we'll still save money in the long run by no longer buying bottled water,” one person noted.
