There’s no co-mingling or transferring. Your belongings stay put until we deliver to your destination. And there’s one household shipment per trailer. Any space you don’t use is used to ship commercial goods moving in the same direction. Trailers are equipped with secure divider walls (most are lockable), and you can put your own lock on your ReloCube and keep the key.
I have been using washable filters for 15 years. They are simply blasted out in my driveway with a hose (opposite of airflow), drained about 10 minutes and put back in the furnace. The furnace dries the filter out in minutes, so bacteria is never a concern. We wash them once a year, as we only run the furnace for about 3-4 months in the winter and only then about half time (live in California). Not only does it save replacing them, but saves a trip to the store, which is probably the most environmentally part. I recently had the furnace looked at by an installer and he stated we had very little dust buildup since it was last checked 9 years ago. If we need clean air in our house, we open it up for an hour or two - on warm days of course. Simple. Washable filters are cheap and environmentally friendly. Think about what happens to all those disposed of filters you toss!
If you’re not ready for delivery right away, U-Pack offers convenient door-to-door storage options. Just load your belongings, then we’ll store the equipment at a secure service center until you’re ready for delivery. With U-Pack, there’s no need to load and unload multiple times (like at a traditional storage facility). Your items stay loaded in the equipment the entire time.

I don't want to harp on the issue of whether wood is sturdy enough. Much like other portable storage companies, Door to Door offers mostly wood containers and a weatherproof cover. Many reviewers had no issue with this fact. But a couple of the ones on Yelp mentioned warping and dents, nothing major. And it sounded as though Door to Door responded to fix problems that rested on its shoulders. But if protecting your stuff is of the utmost importance, then you might be more inclined to pick a metal container over a wood one. It's a matter of preference and priorities. In the case of Door to Door, which seems to put all the responsibility on the shoulders of the customer when it comes to the care of the stuff held in the container (read the terms and services) and has no visible insurance plans on the website, the type of container may be elevated in importance.
I was put in dangerous areas going to door to door and it is not safe. Outside all day long (depends where you live) I live in FL so it was brutal. Work 6 out of 7 days a week. When you get out of your training period you are ordered to "walk" with new recruits, but by doing so when you go and show them how to sell while they are supposed to watch, no talk or do anything, you have to split your entire sale 50%... with the person you are teaching. Commission is a horrible percentage of the total value of what you are selling (only 150$ for a 1,600$ system.) You get 150 working alone and walking with someone you have to split the commission. A promotion is not really a promotion. They promote you as a team leader but you are not allowed to walk and makes sales only assist over the phone to make sales and make less money with more responsibility.
Ensuring that your filter fits properly in your HVAC system means making sure that you have not only the right length and width, but also thickness of your filter. Most standard air filters are 1 - 2 inches in thickness. Whereas media filters are typically 3 to 5 inches in thickness. The best way to measure your air filter size is to get out the measuring tape and measure it directly.
This is not formally a filter, but its operation will affect your air quality, and it may have a screen or a sponge that can get clogged. Check the manual to see how it operates. Many older furnace mounted humidifiers have been neglected or abandoned. See if yours works; call a heating specialist to service it if you are not sure. Winters in Toronto can be pretty dry and it is best if you can keep the humidity level in your home between 35 – 50%.
